According to the Windows 10 health dashboard website, version 1909 is ready for download on any device using the Check for updates button from the Windows Update settings page starting January 21. However, it’ll not install automatically when checking for updates. Instead, a “Download and install now” option will appear to begin the installation manually. On the other hand, if you’re the November 2018 Update or an older release, Windows Update will try download and install the new version automatically as this release is reaching its end of support cycle.
