According to the company, Windows 10 build 20236 adds the ability to change the refresh rate of a display from the Advanced display settings page from the “Display” settings. You have been able to change the refresh rate of a monitor for a smoother motion for a long time, but the option has only been available through the Control Panel. Also, this is a new addition in the Dev Channel, but the feature isn’t technically new, since the option is already available on version 20H2. Starting with this flight, Windows 10 will show recent searches in the Search Box to allow you quickly return to a previous search. The list will include the four most recent searches, which can be from websites, apps, files, and settings. If you don’t want to see your recent searches, you can disable the feature from Settings > Search > Permissions and History and turning off the Search history on this device option. If you want to use the feature, but you want to remove a specific item, you can hover over the item and select the X option. Recent searches is a server-side improvement, which means that in the coming days, it’ll be also available for anyone on version 1809 or higher releases. Windows 10 build 20236 is also updating the Microsoft Print to PDF option to convert the provided font glyphs to Unicode, when it’s not present for better PDFs accessibility in Narrator and other screen reader users. Microsoft is listing the complete set of improvements, fixes, and known issues for Windows 10 Insider Preview build 20236 at the Windows Blog.
