As we are coming closer to Microsoft releasing Windows 10 to the public, we’re now hearing that the company is already working in the next wave of updates for its new operating system. The project is called “Redstone” and it’s a two-part update arriving in 2016. The first part of the update is supposed to release in June and the second part of the update should arrive in October of the same year. In preparation for Windows 10, Microsoft pushes update KB3035583, which is a piece of code that is designed to alert users when the new operating system is available for download in Windows 7 and Windows 8. April’s Xbox One update rolled out to everyone this week, but the new release does not include the voice messaging, features we have seen in the preview release. Microsoft says that the features aren’t ready, but they will be coming in future updates. However, the Xbox One April system update brings improvements to Party Chat, Game Hub, Achievements notifications, and a new section called “What’s On”. This week over-the-air TV finally arrives to Xbox One in the United States and Canada, console’s owners will only need an USB dongle adapter, currently priced $79.99, plus an antenna. The support is currently available for Xbox One Preview member, but the company plans to add support for everyone soon. If you’re in the market for a new game console, it should be interesting to know that now you can buy an Xbox One $225. It’s all part of a GameStop trade-in program, which is giving everyone $125 of in-store credit when you bring your Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 when you purchase a new Xbox One. This is a limited time offer, so you must hurry. Spotted this week, Microsoft re-introduces the “Work & Play” bundle, which offers customers access to the best Microsoft services, such as Office 365 Home, Xbox Live Gold, Xbox Music Pass, and Skype Unlimited World for only $149 per year, which translate to over $279 on savings if buying each service separately. We also got our hands on the new Mail and Calendar apps Microsoft is building for Windows 10, both apps where spotted in build 10051, they feature a new fresh look and a number of features. Windows 10 build 10056 surfaced on the internet this week unveiling a number of cosmetic changes and improvements, including a new personalization options in the Settings apps, the ability to disable transparency in the Start menu, relocation of the power button, and much more. Microsoft releases Office Remote app for Android, which allows users to control Word, Excel, and PowerPoint presentations with a smartphone.
