In addition, the Core i7 model is also coming to Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, but only in platinum color. Alongside the new color expansion, the company is also announcing that it’s extending the free upgrade from Windows 10 S to Windows 10 Pro for Surface Laptop owners until the end of March 2018. This is a three-month extension from the previous December 2017 deadline, which should allow a lot of customers to avoid the $49 upgrade if they don’t like Windows 10 S.
