This week on tech news the software giant showed off the new Windows Store, they detailed that not only apps will be available; this new online store, which is set up to compete head-to-head with the Apple store, is going to be the only method to get all your Windows 8 Metro-style apps and much more. Also they announced when Windows 8 Beta is going to be released to the public....

The new information was confirmed by reliable unnamed sources familiar to the project who mentioned that Microsoft Executive Vice President Terry Myerson has recently noted the name “Threshold” as the codename on an email to the engineering group at Microsoft. If the company moves forward Windows, Windows Phone, and Xbox One operating systems will be on track to share a more unified programming ecosystem. While we still don’t know what Microsoft will be including on the Threshold update and if in fact this update is the “Blue” successor, we know that this release won’t completely unify all three operating systems bringing a single version of Windows or even merge between Windows RT and Windows Phone OS....
