At the moment there no much details about the glasses more than the company has placed different orders in various companies asking cameras and other electronic components that fits the description for an eyewear prototype. Also it is unclear how the “Microsoft Eyewear” will work, if the company is just testing another proof-of-concept or if we ever going to see an eyewear device from Microsoft in the market. If Microsoft turns out releasing such device, this will be its second attempt as the company has tried in 2004 a device called SPOT (Smart Personal Object Technology), which was a watch that connected to MSN (weather, stock, headlines, etc....

Early this month, Google published details about a security flaw in Windows 8.1 that is currently unpatched and it could allow malicious individuals to exploit this vulnerability. The search giant made the decision to publish the bug as part of its Project Zero, which gives companies 90 days to fix any vulnerability before making the information public. The problem is that Microsoft made aware to Google that it was planning to release the corresponding fix on its next Patch Tuesday update and the search giant went ahead disclosing the bug details....

Although the software giant already announced Windows 10X as a modular and lightweight version of Windows 10 for dual-screen devices with support for legacy (win32) applications using virtualized containers, the plans have now changed. According to a new report from Windows Latest (and Windows Central), Microsoft is now planning to release Windows 10X as an operating system that focuses on the web for low-end devices to take on Google’s Chromebooks....

In the keynote (via AMD and Neowin), the processor company talked about the Ryzen 7040 series processor AI engine, and Panos also took the opportunity to mention how these new silicon architectures will help Windows to incorporate more AI features. Although Microsoft recently introduced two new devices, including the Surface Laptop and Surface Pro tablet, the Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 are still great devices that you should consider. The $150 discount is for the base configuration featuring an Intel Sixth-Generation Core i5 processor with 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage. However, this model doesn’t include discrete graphics, instead it features integrated Intel HD Graphics. Originally, this Surface Book model is priced at $1499, but now you can get it for $1349....

If you are wondering, why a fridge? It all started when the company revealed the Xbox Series X for the first time, and then the internet started comparing the design to a refrigerator. After that, as a part of a marketing campaign, Microsoft created an Xbox Series X-shaped refrigerator, which then the company gave away. Then after the Xbox won a Twitter poll with Skittles, Microsoft promised to build a mini-fridge with an Xbox Series X shape....

However, soon after the list was published, Microsoft released a statement clarifying that even though it’ll eventually remove the Paint app from Windows 10. It’ll not be the end of it. In the future, the company plans to make Paint available through the Windows Store, and it’ll continue to receive updates. The statement that Microsoft published reads “MS Paint is here to stay, it will just have a new home soon, in the Windows Store where it will be available for free....

Lately Microsoft has been demonstrating a lot of interesting features for the up coming version of their operating system. In this rollout, most Surface devices, including Surface Pro 4, Surface Book, Surface Book 2, Surface Laptop, and Surface Laptop 2 are getting the update, and even though, the improvements are similar for every device, depending on the Surface that you have, the version number will be different. According to the Microsoft change logs (via Neowin) addresses a security vulnerability regarding Microarchitectural Data Sampling that could potentially allow attackers to “read privileged data across trust boundaries....

According to the Microsoft support page, the update for Surface Laptop 3 was made available on February 12, and it is available for devices running Windows 10 version 1903 or later. Surface Book 3, Laptop 2, Laptop (original), and Laptop Go received the update on February 5, and they are available for devices using version 1903 and version 1909 for the case of the Laptop Go. The rest of the devices received their updates on February 2, and the updates are available for devices running version 1903 or higher....

They started by removing the Surface Pro 2 new kickstand and after removing the screen using a big heat gun, getting access to the components was quite easy. iFixit notes that everything looks pretty much the same (visually, not components) as the previous version with the difference of a new motherboard shape. Of course, it wasn’t really easy to poke around the components without getting the 52 screws out of the way....

The firmware changelog is dated September 14, but the Surface Update History page is listing the new improvement just now. What’s interesting is that the 128 GB Surface Pro version, powered by Windows 8 Pro that doesn’t come with a Type or Touch cover and cost $999 is already sold out at the Microsoftstore.com. When you will see this model back on stock is yet to be announced. Although, apparently there still plenty 64 GB versions of the Pro version that runs for $899. But we also have to consider that the folks at Redmond were only planning to ship one million units....
