While the KB3116908 doesn’t include new features, it does brings Windows 10 version 1511 to build 10586.17, as you can see in the image below. As always, the December 2, 2015, update for Windows 10 is cumulative, therefore, the package includes all previously released fixes. If you have installed previous updates, only the new fixes that are contained in this package will be downloaded and installed to your computer. KB3116908 is available immediately through Windows Update, the cumulative update will download and install automatically, but you can always go to Settings > Update & security and manually force the download....

The new version of Windows represents the most significant update of the past decade, but it’s not entirely new. While we knew about the development of Windows 8.1 Update 1, this news follows Microsoft’s recent acknowledgment of the update development. The company announced, what we know as Update 1 as a “spring” update for Windows 8.1 at the Mobile World Congress press event a few days ago. Windows 8.1 Update 1 is an update focus on making the operating system more appealing to keyboard and mouse users. At first, the share revenue for each app that the company is going keep is 30% — not much to see here, this is the same as what Apple is doing right now –, then when the Windows 8 app reaches the $25,000 mark of sale, the software maker will allow the app owner to take 80% from this point and until the app dies....

According to the company, this release brings hardware-accelerated H.254 decoding to improve the experience of apps that use high-definition video playback. Microsoft is also improving the integration of WSA with the Windows mail clients and mobile apps to make it easier for these to launch a mail client or send messages. As part of the known issues, the company says that video playback in some apps may be choppy, and when coming out of connected standby, apps may be restarted....
