It’s not a secret that Microsoft has been trying to steal some of the Apple market with its Surface devices, and with the Surface Studio being the most impressive and most disappointing device. When the Surface Studio first became available in 2016, it offered an unseen touchscreen experience, but it was already shipping with last generation hardware. However, after two years since the original release, Microsoft is finally refreshing its desktop replacement flagship, which brings up the question about the new Surface Studio 2 being worth the $3499 asking price for the base model....

Microsoft began the roll out of the cumulative update KB3209835 for the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, but it’s currently available for testing through the Release Preview ring. The update doesn’t contain any new features, it’s only an update to add fixes and improvements to the operating system. Project Neon is a new improvement update to refine the Windows 10 design language, and this week a few concept images leaked onto the web unveiling some of the new tweaks Microsoft has been working on....

During the Surface press event Microsoft revealed that the new tablet has many configurations and various price points. Consumers get the low-end Surface Pro 3 starting at $799, for an Intel Core i3 or all the way to a Core i7 for $1949. This week we also got a closer look to what hardware is inside Surface Pro 3 — this is the closest you’ll get to a teardown today –, and I published a new video on YouTube unboxing the new tablet....

However, the company will be releasing new updates to make sure the operating system is ready for the masses, and the software giant is already delivering. Early this week a few new updates rolled out to Insiders, including KB3074674 and KB3074679 (KB3074680) to patch various security wholes and to improve performance, and we’re expecting more updates to release before and after July 29th. Also this week, Redmond announced new significant changes coming the Windows Store, such as new search algorithm, improved web Store, and better performance....

In addition, early this week, I added a new hands-on video highlighting the changes and improvements on Windows 10 build 14901 for PC. Cumulative update KB3176932 released to Windows 10 for devices enrolled in the Windows Insider Preview program. Update that will eventually roll out to everyone who installed the Windows 10 Anniversary Update. On August 16th, the software giant finally rolled out the Anniversary Update for Windows 10 Mobile....

The Xbox One S will be available very soon and you can pre-order now starting at $299. Alongside the new game console, the company also announced Xbox Play Anywhere, a new program that let you buy a game and play it on all compatible platforms, including Xbox One, PC, and phone. A new Xbox app for Android and iOS rolled out to replace the Smartglass app with the same and additional features....

Windows 10 build 18362.10019 released for the 19H2 update addressing a lot of confusions with the delivery channels in the Windows Insider Program. The software giant also made available the ISO file to perform a clean installation of build 18970. Windows 10 version 1903 receives update KB4512941 (build 18362.329) with a bunch of fixes. However, you should be careful installing this update as the update includes a known issue that may break the search functionality and Start menu if you have previously disabled Bing results for Windows Search....

A new Surface Pro X with a more powerful processor and new platinum color is rumored to launch in October during a new Microsoft press event. Xbox Cloud Gaming (formerly xCloud) has launched on September 15, as a feature at no extra cost for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate with 150 games. Windows 10 build 17751 releases for PCs enrolled in the Fast ring of the Windows Insider Program introducing various new changes and bug fixes to help stabilize the operating system for the October release. In addition, the software giant made available Windows 10 build 17744 for testers with devices in the Slow ring, and the ISO files for build 17738 are now ready for download. Although Patch Tuesday isn’t happening for another couple of weeks, Microsoft released a huge cumulative update to addresses several problems on Windows 10 version 1803, version 1709, version 1703, and version 1609....
