The Windows Store on Windows 10 gets renamed to Microsoft Store as it appears the company will start selling devices and accessories along with apps and games through the Store app. A new rumor surfaced this week suggesting that Microsoft is working on a new project called Andromeda OS that aims to make Windows 10 fully modular. Xbox One X standard edition goes on preorder worldwide. Internet Explorer 12 seems not to be part of the current leaked version (9834.0.140908-0936.FBL_PARTNER_EEAP), however new information surfaced this week details that IE12 is in the works and Microsoft is planning a brand new look for the internet software and extensions like Chrome are also coming. Not only this new version of Office is more touch friendly, but the images reveal that digital ink has a deep integration with the suite and operating system as users can use a stylus within apps and Windows environment, including the Start screen. As I mentioned in the previous article, Windows 8 users will need to get used to the idea that they won’t longer be able to directly interrupt the PC boot sequence with F8, nor with Shift+F8 to get to the advanced tools such as safe mode in the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE), or F2, F12, or Esc to access the motherboard’s BIOS configuration — all this is going to change....

Chances are that if you switched to LibreOffice, you’ll soon come across a Microsoft Office document, spreadsheet or presentation from someone who is likely using Office 2010 or the new Office 365. A prerelease of the upcoming One Outlook email client for Windows 11 leaks onto the web revealing more details about the app and its functionality. Microsoft is working on a new feature for the Xbox Game Bar experience called “controller bar,” a new menu that opens when pressing the Xbox button on the controller to surface recently played games and installed games quickly. The desktop version of Microsoft Edge is getting a Virtual Private Network (VPN) called “Edge Secure Network” using the Cloudflare VPN service....

Windows 10 22H2 (2022 Update) began rolling out on October 18 for devices running version 21H2, 21H1, and 20H2. The release is a small update with maintenance components but without new features since the focus moving forward is Windows 11. To better understand the new technology, we have to take a step back and explain the current wireless version. As you can see, we come a long way, now installing Windows from a USB drive is one of the easiest way. And creating a USB bootable drive to install Windows has its benefits: first, it is easy; second, the installation of the operating system, in this case Windows 8, is a lot faster; third, you are not wasting any CD/DVDs, and if you need to modify the installation, you can do it without the need of having to use another blank media....

Aside from the bugs and other problems that might appear while testing the new software, Microsoft also warns that the Technical Preview is far from complete and has a bunch of known issues. Although, Microsoft has documented workarounds for many of the issues, the company has also created a new tool called the Windows Phone Recovery Tool that will help users to restore the previous image as necessary if you bricked your phone....

According to Neowin, Data Sense and Battery Saver are now part of the desktop on newer test builds. Data Sense in Windows 10 like in Windows Phone aims to help users to take control of their data usage on metered connections and those who have the need to use an internet connection via tethering. Information suggests that options for this features include the ability to limit background data usage and limiting data when roaming....
