  1. To take a screenshot in Windows 8, open your favorite app or just leave everything as it is.
  2. Press the  while also pressing the PrtScn or also known as the Print Screen key. That’s all there is to it. This tip works in the Windows Desktop, in the new Metro style environment or in the combination of both when using the Snap view. Now the last thing left to do is to open the Windows Explorer, go to Pictures library from the left pane and the image captured will be inside the Screenshots’ folder.
